Frequently Asked Questions
What are your costs for counselling?I offer a free initial session which gives us the opportunity to meet. It is important to feel comfortable and safe with your therapist and an initial meeting will help to establish this. It is also a chance for me to ensure that I consider myself to be the best person to deal with the problem presented. If I don't, I will suggest other avenues more suited to you.
The cost of counselling is £30 for each 50 minute session, payable on booking.
This is a private counselling practise, I am not funded by the NHS nor do I receive grants. I try to keep my counselling as affordable as possible. I hope you understand the costs associated with running a professional service. However if money is a serious concern I do occasionally charge a reduced rate.
How many sessions will I need?
This can vary enormously from one session to longer term. It depends on the issues you bring and is something we would discuss at the first meeting. I offer both short term and long term counselling.
